Jiaqi Liu received her Bachelor of Hydraulic Engineering degree from Northwest Agriculture and Forest University, China, in 2016. In 2019, she obtained a Master degree of Hydraulic Engineering from the same university. From November 2019, Jiaqi started her Doctorate at IHE Delft where she joined the River Basin Development chair group.

​Focusing on the interaction between riparian vegetation, water flow and sediment transport in river system, Jiaqi Liu’s research is about the effects of vegetation on suspended sediment transport, particularly the suspended sediment movement and storage within vegetation patches under various spatial density and vegetation combination.
